Why is the hotel called La Bussola?
             La Bussola was chosen as a reminder of Amalfi’s great sea faring past.  La Bussola, literally a magnetic compass in English, is said to have been invented by a local Amalfitano, Flavio Gioia.

What time is check in and check out?
            Both are at midday.

Is the price per person or per room?
            Yes, price is per room, per night, not per person.

Is breakfast included in the price?
             Yes, the first meal of the day is included in the price.

Can we settle the bill on arrival?
            Yes, of course.

Which credit cards are accepted?
            All of the major credit cards are accepted (American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Bancomat, Carta Si, Eurocard).

What is the hotel’s cancellation policy?
            No charge is made for cancellations made 3 days before arrival during low season.  During the high season cancellations must be made 7 days before. 
           
Which languages are spoken in the hotel?
            Hotel staff are multilingual; English, Spanish, French, and of course Italian are spoken.

Do you accommodate non-smokers?
            Yes.

Is there a restaurant?
            Yes, there is.  The hotel’s restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with magnificent views out over Amalfi and the Tyrrhenian Sea.

What time are meals served?
            Lunch is served from 12:30 to 2:30 while dinner is from 7:30 to 9:30.

Are there parking facilities?
            Yes, there are.  It costs €10/night for use of these facilities.

Are the rooms equipped with a TV?
            Yes, international satellite TV comes as standard including CNN and the BBC.

Are the rooms equipped with telephone?
            Yes, including direct dialling

Do you operate a Shuttle Service to and from Naples Capodichino airport?
            Yes we can organise transport from the airport, please enquire.

Is there a shuttle service to and from the centre of Amalfi?
            Yes, please enquire with our porter during your stay.

Otherwise what’s the best way of arriving at the hotel?
            The quickest and most scenic way of arriving at Amalfi is via the ferry service.

Is the hotel close to the train station?
            The closest train station is in Sorrento.  Buses run frequently to Amalfi.

Do you have internet facilities?
            Yes, internet is available in the lobby.  Ask staff where the hotel Hot Spots are.  It is also possible to rent lap top computers during your stay.

Do any rooms have balconies or terraces?
            Yes, all rooms have a balcony or terrace with beautiful views of the sea.
           
Do you have a swimming pool?
            No we don’t.    

Are pets welcome?
